In partnership with the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Department of Mollecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, REBUILD is changing the structure of one of the  introductory biology courses (Ecology, Evolution, and Genetics; BIO171) and developing learning goals to test student learning in the other introductory biology course (Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology; BIO172). Other efforts include measuring student learning gains through the implementation of pre/post-assessments and developing a concept inventory for Evolution (EEB 390). Former REBUILD postdoc Anne Greenberg also organized an informal biweekly teaching circle to facilitate learning about new teaching strategies.
